Today I volunteered for the Incoming Class’s White Coat Ceremony. The looks on the students faces were priceless. I could literally feel their excitement as they entered the door. It was so humbling to greet their family and friends as they witnessed such a pivotal moment. To the incoming students, Congratulations and best of luck to you as you start your Medical careers! Once you put on that white coat, your life will never be the same. Never forget the feeling of joy that you experienced today.
Wow, I can’t believe it’s already been a whole year since I had mine!! Medicine is a long and hard journey, and it’s very easy to lose that excitement along the way. Moments like these are important because they show you how far you’ve come and how much of a blessing it is to be in the Medical Field. When times get hard, sometimes you just have to reflect on that Personal Statement that you wrote simply to remember why you started this journey in the first place.
